Pilates is a unique form of exercise developed over 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates used to strengthen the body’s deep core and develop the mind/body connection.  Pilates is best done as a full system utilizing both equipment based classes as well as the mat classes. The equipment was designed to support the body through movement while also giving resistance to strengthen the body.  This system helps teach the body some important concepts used during the matwork series.  This studio offers a full system of reformer/chair classes, tower classes, and mat classes.

Heidi Miller teaches at two Pilates studio locations throughout the Fort Collins, Colorado area.

Students on the south side of town can find Heidi teaching at Powerhouse Pilates located adjacent to Chicos at the intersection of College Ave and Monroe Dr.

For students west of town in the foothills, Heidi’s personal Pilates studio is located just north of Inlet Bay on Horsetooth Reservoir.

Pilates is performed with conscious control of movement. So the first thing you will learn is the art of self awareness.  Most of us can relate to going through our day on automatic pilot. With self awareness we can start to make positive changes in our lives and in our bodies.

Toning your whole body, you will start seeing results within 5 weeks with consistent pilates training 3x/week.  As with all exercise programs consistency and commitment are essential.

Reducing stress is something we all need in todays fast paced world. With the connection between breath and movement we bridge the gap between our body and our mind. Quieting the noisiness of our brain and the outside world.

Heidi has a life-long love of exercise and has been sharing her knowledge and insight, through teaching, for nearly 20 years. She received her Pilates certification in 2005 from the prestigious and rigorous Pilates Center of Boulder. Heidi enjoys working with all body types,  fitness levels and ages, especially with postpartum clients and those experiencing issues from low back pain. She is a military veteran and the mother of two very active boys.
